Daisy Jewellery’s latest campaign has been released, with a series of stunning images by Pip.  The 14/15 campaign featured pieces from the brand’s famous Chakra and Vintage collections.

Pip said; “paying homage to the brand’s roots we shot on location in sunny Notting Hill, West London. Many thanks to Ruth & Kiran at Daisy HQ for all their hard work!”

More images from the shoot can be seen on Pip’s blog or the Daisy website.

Joyous tidings!  What festive larks have we here? ‘Tis more Christmassy than turkey and plum pudding!  It’s Jay Brooks shooting the double bumper cover of Time Out’s double bumper Christmas issue with international style icon Dame Edna – and, as you can see, her rather less stylish alter ego Les Patterson.  ‘Tis indeed the season to be jolly!  Perhaps even as jolly as Les.

A very Happy Christmas everyone.

As the X Factor final looms and the drama continues, Happy Archive Friday looks back at a young, carefree and very blonde Gary Barlow with the Take That boys.

Taken from Paul Rider’s archive, we think this photo and moment in time is an absolute classic! Circa 1991 – when clearly Gary didn’t have the same stylist…oh dear!

Amit & Naroop approached the Teenage Cancer Trust with a proposal…to offer their time and services to spend a day with ten ‘budding photographer’ teenage cancer patients; and to teach them the camera and lighting techniques they use on their many and varied celebrity and music shoots. Their motivation? “Charitable work is something we have always aspired to do and believe strongly in helping others to achieve their dreams and improve their lives, doing something they love.

From their studio in West London, the first half of the day began by Amit & Naroop taking individual portraits of the teenagers and whilst doing so have the others behind the scenes and getting them directly involved as assistants. For the second half of the day they turned the cameras on each other, taking photographs and allowing them to put their new acquired skills into practice. The day then concluded with a mentoring session in which Amit & Naroop shared valuable information about their steps to success thus far followed by a Q&A session.

Gauging by the smiles on those teenage faces, the experience is one they won’t soon forget. Watch the video here Teenage Cancer Trust – Amit & Naroop

The first ever Artrocker Awards took place on Friday 2nd December at XOYO in Shoreditch and guess who took home an award?!

Striking a very Gavin-esque pose (photo by Kane Howie) friend and artist, Plan B was there to present the Photographer of the Year award to Gavin Watson.

Straight from the Live Feed

15:14 Plan B is now on stage introducing the Photographer of the Year. He calls winner Gavin Watson the “Martin Scorsese of photography”. Watson says: “It’s been beautiful working for Artrocker, it’s been wonderful to have a second chance.”

Well deserved. We are so thrilled for you Gavin!!

To celebrate Miss Kylie Minogue being inducted into her homeland’s music hall of fame (ARIA) this week, we’ve selected just one image from Simon Fowler’s huge and impressive archive. This one in particular was taken from his first ever shoot with Kylie for ‘Enjoy Yourself’ album cover – proper 80’s style and we think she looks just beautiful – circa 1989.

Kylie was also inducted along with Australian children entertainers, The Wiggles. Sadly we don’t have any Wiggles archive but we’ll be sure to get our photographers on the case!

If you’d like to see more photos from Kylie and Simon’s session you can do so here. Enjoy!

In the words of Ideas Factory, “We’ve pulled a rabbit out of the hat!” Congratulations to Ideas Factory who had a momentous night at Cream London 2011, scooping up two awards for Best Press Campaign and Best Art Direction, both for the Douglas & Gordon’s Extraordinary People campaign.

We are also very pleased here at SHOOT HQ as Paul Rider was the man responsible for these wonderful images, which of course we love!

Cream London 2011 is organised by The Drum and are all about celebrating and rewarding the very best creativity in London.
