Les Liaisons Dangereuses

Jay Brooks shot the poster for the Donmar Warehouse production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses featuring its stars Elaine Cassidy, Janet McTeer and Dominic West.  The show opened in mid December but from January 28th it can be seen on the National Theatre’s Live service in a cinema near you.

Directed by Josie Rourke (Coriolanus) it is based on Choderlos de Laclos’ novel of sex, intrigue and betrayal in pre-revolutionary France which scandalised the world in 1782. Two hundred years later, Christopher Hampton’s irresistible adaptation swept the board, winning the Olivier and Evening Standard Awards for Best Play.  Josie Rourke’s revival now marks the play’s thirty year anniversary.
